Jeffery Room and Main Hall information:

There are two halls, the Main Hall and the Jeffery Room which can be hired separately or together.
Jeffery Room
Capacity: up to 50 seated
Good for: committee meetings and small groups
Layout: Furnished with tables and chairs. It can seat up to 50 people.
Main Hall
Size: 3.2m (H) x 15.5m (L) x 7.5m (W)
Capacity: up to 150 adults and 30 children seated
Good for: larger events, dance and disco
Layout: 150 chairs and 20 trestle tables (approx 1.8m x 0.75m, each seating a maximum of 8 people) and 30 small chairs and 8 small tables that can be used for children’s parties.

Other useful information:

The Main Hall has a dado rail all round which should be used for hanging decorations etc. There is staging comprising 18 x 1 square panels which can be easily assembled.
There is also an overhead projector and screen available.
There are two double fire doors providing access to a paved area and out to the Green. It has a sprung wooden floor suitable for dancing and a disco can be set up at the bottom end of the hall. There is a decibel monitor which warns if the volume is too loud (green/ amber/ red lights) and the power will cut out when red is reached and come back on after 2-3 minutes.
Bouncy Castles are allowed as long as suitable for indoor use. They must be no more than 3.1 metres high, 3.2 metres deep and 4 metres wide and must be positioned at the fare end of the hall ensuring there is access to the fire doors and back entrance.
Between the two halls is the kitchen with a hatch into each hall. The modern kitchen has a fridge, cooker, micro-wave, small commercial dishwasher, electric kettle and a new hot water heater for making tea and coffee. There is crockery, but no cutlery and a heated food trolley is available on request.
The Hall is fully accessible for disabled users, and has a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities.
The Hall is not licensed for the sale of alcohol, but groups wishing to sell alcohol (or include alcohol in a ticket price) can apply to the local authority for a Temporary Events Notice (TEN). More about TENcan be found here: Temporary Events Notice.
